Words of wisdom from Moody.
The key word is serving Christ.
The Christian warfare is real.
Living out the faith is a battleground—invisible gloves on, sword of life in hand, combating through life…
hobbling down that narrow road.
But through it all, we know—
it’s well worth it. For that imperishable crown.

If there’s one succinct quote that pierces the soul for living out the Christian life, this is it. At its very heart, it points us to the will of God—do good (v.16). Simple enough to grasp at first reading, but to live it out? Oh Lord, have mercy.

Sometimes we just need to be reminded of the power and authority of God’s Word. Praise the Lord for "all those other many words in black" we so easily gloss over— and how conveniently we forget who the Author is. Amen and amen.
