Fatal Distractions: Conquering Destructive Temptations will guide us through powerful biblical narratives that expose the infamous “deadly sins”: Pride, Anger, Jealousy, Gluttony, Slothfulness, and Greed (and yes—lust has its own volumes!). These temptations lie at the core of our human nature, often left unexamined, swept under the rug—like that sneaky yeast that leavens the whole dough, its spread shaped by temperature, just as sin thrives or fades depending on the climate of our hearts.

🍎 "Fatal Distractions" Synopsis

Is Sin Threatening Your Spiritual Progress? 

Any type of sin can undermine a believer's effectiveness, but certain sins can become so deeply rooted in our lives—even without our realizing—that they become fatal to our spiritual growth. 

This study looks at six of the "deadly" sins that threaten spiritual progress: Pride, Anger, Jealousy, Gluttony, Slothfulness, and Greed. You'll learn to identify the subtle ways in which these fatal distractions can invade your life, and you'll be equipped to conquer these destructive temptations so you can mature in your journey with Christ.

About "The Heart of Knowing God and Faith" Series

📕 Group A, Group B?  His-story.​

A year ago, we started with nothing but a study plan, a prayer, and trust in the Lord. Honestly, we didn’t even know if a class would happen! All we had was the series mapped out, and the rest we lifted into the hands of our sweet Lord Jesus. And we were content—even if it was just one. Yes, one 一 Numbero Uno. 一个. Satu. One.

Etched within our hearts, we recognize the inescapable questions of one's faith journey: What does it truly mean to be a Christian? Is the Bible still relevant today? How do we live out our faith in this world? Saying “Yes” to Jesus is the easy part—but what comes next?

Our very first class was small and cozy, but God stirred hearts to go deeper. Soon, we branched out—Lynden helming the 40‑Minute studies while the PUP/NISS class was birthed. And that, dear friends, is the humble origin of Group A and Group B.

We’re still building our Knowing God and Building series—selecting titles, refining our approach, and crafting each study with care.
